2017 Fall Flambeau Classic is filling up fast!! $20 Entry fee Major League Fishing Bass Event!8/16/2017 RSVP IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE FALL FLAMBEAU CLASSIC BY SEPTEMBER 30!!!OCTOBER 14, 2017 is the day that we will hold our Fall Major League Fishing event near Ladysmith, WI on the Dairyland Reservoir (Flowage.) This is a catch-weigh-photo-release bass tournament ran by Major League Fishing Scoretracker Live mobile website. Each boat needs one smartphone in it, and must RSVP on our site so we have your email and can set up your scoring access. You will receive a PIN number at the tournament on a card and be required to show the PIN in the photo with each fish, and you will use the PIN to enter every fish. Trolling of lures WILL be permitted. This is an INVITATIONAL, so we are taking RSVPs until Sept 30, then inviting from the list of interested angler teams. Our priority is to get anglers from the previous event in the tournament first, since we had no issues with honesty and integrity from that 15-person field. We will then have to even up the kayak anglers so they are all paired with a partner for scoring, preferably by the angler's choice. We will accept invites from club tournament anglers as well, but we WILL NOT be inviting any Bassmaster Opens anglers, or any BASSMASTER FEDERATION state championship team members. We are interested in bringing some decent competition, but we don't need a guy out there that fishes everyday destroying primarily weekend anglers. No offense to those guys, its actually a complement as far as I am concerned. We chose a $20 entry fee to interest the weekend anglers that typically aren't club anglers, possibly for financial reasons, etc. Our last entry fee was only $30 and the field had a blast competing with each other in small engine boats, kayaks, etc. I encourage anyone with a jonboat or even a canoe to enter and you will have a very good chance at winning in any craft you bring. 2 of us in a 200 hp combined for one fish at the last tournament, yet the winner was in a kayak! There is NO CLOSED practice time, and sharing of information is ABSOLUTELY ALLOWED. This is designed to be a "FUN" tournament, so honesty and integrity is EXPECTED! All bass 12" or longer will be weighed, photoed, and added to your score. The goal is to catch 85 bass and have 100 lbs on your score. But we also will have a cash prize and framed certificate for the biggest single bass weighed in of the day. As of now we have ONE trophy ready to go for the winning team, if the team is not made up of family members / roommates, we will get a 2nd matching trophy made up and shipped to the winning partner's address. The trophy is 14" tall and pretty cool looking. I personally have NEVER fished this lake, and I am looking forward to a challenge. The lake has trophy potential, the Flambeau River feeds it and there are some giants in this lake. People have weighed confirmed 6 pound smallmouth in this lake at local sport shops and had them mounted. BTW with DNR laws for this particular tournament, ALL FISH MUST BE IMMEDIATELY RELEASED AFTER THE WEIGHT AND PHOTOS ARE TAKEN! NO FISH GOING TO THE TAXIDERMIST! That would put our tournament in violation with licensing! Also if you throat hook a fish, cut the line or the hook as far down the hook shaft as possible. Do your best, if a fish dies, I guess an Eagle gets supper, but our goal is to not kill any fish in this tournament. Wear your life jacket when the motor is running, and if you have a motorized boat, we recommend to have boater insurance! We WILL NOT be responsible for any accidents of any kind. Be kind, be patient, give people room and respect, communicate when close to others, follow all state fishing laws, and have fun out there! If anyone has issues scoring with their smart phone such as dead battery, bad service, a backup scorecard and marker will be provided to every angler in the tournament at the launch. Jot your scores on the card and we will update at the "weigh-in" after the tournament. We did this last time and it went quite well. The sprint guys had issues, ATT & Verizon did great at the last location, we will test out reception Labor Day Weekend and Sept 30th for Verizon and ATT. Being so close to Ladysmith I am hoping service will not be an issue. FILL OUT THE RSVP AND MESSAGE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS!!!!
